Accomplishments & Awards

Ho‘ike:

We have a Ho‘ike (recital) to show our students accomplishments every year. Our 6th Annual Ho‘ike is going to be February 4, 2012 at PCC Sylvania. We have dinner, a silent auction and a wonderful show with a live band that gets better every year.

Beaverton Parade:

We participated in the Beaverton Celebration Parade in September 2009, 2010 & 2011. We took 1st place in the dance team division all 3 years. You can see a video of our performance under the photo’s/video tab.

Beaverton Area Chamber of Commerce:

Hula Hālau ‘Ohana Holo‘oko‘a has been a member of the Beaverton Area Chamber of Commerce since February 2009 and Lisa Chang has been a Beaverton Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassador since June 2010 and Secretary of the Ambassador committee since January 2011.

Leadership Beaverton:

Lisa Chang is a current member of Leadership Beaverton Class of 2012 and has committed to their 2 year program.

Better Business Bureau:

Hula Hālau ‘Ohana Holo‘oko‘a has been a member of the Better Business Bureau since July 2008.

Sunshine Pantry:

Hula Hālau ‘Ohana Holo‘oko‘a is a supporter of the Sunshine Pantry - a non-profit that provides food and aloha to anyone in need in our community.
